Reflections

 

Open your eyes for this world is only a dream. - Rumi

This ethereal blue coat by Balmain pulled me in like a magnet. It evokes an energy that is serene, tranquil and reflective. There is something about this shade of blue that reminds me of the sky -- of dreams. Lately, I’ve been dreaming frequently about loving relationships from people of my past. Some of these relationships just drifted away and some were severed not on the best of terms.  I believe that dreams are symbolic. But what do these dreams mean? To be honest, I haven’t figured that part out yet; but I do know that it has caused me to unpack my feelings and look at myself.

I miss some of these people dearly, and some must remain as past memories due to their toxicity. 

Nevertheless, part of being a human being is having meaningful interactions with other people. And all of these relationships, good or bad, have had a significant impact on my life and have helped shape the person I am today. The love and support has made me more confident. The heartbreak has made me more empathetic and compassionate. I embrace it all. I will continue to dream. I will continue to reflect. I will continue to love. Hopefully, you will too.
