Do you ever look at this topsy turvy world and think ‘How can I make a difference?’
It takes a myriad of soldiers to bring down corruption, hate and patriarchy. I’m here to stand on the front lines with fashion. Fashion can absolutely be used as a revolutionary act- the revolutionary act of self care- an act of authenticity- an act of self expression and womanhood. Through fashion, I can make a powerful statement without saying a word.
Today, in the midst of chaos, I choose love and joy. The heel on my Michael Kors booties makes me feel powerful and adds just the right amount of sway to my hips when I walk. The vivid colorful prints in my Gucci sweater and skirt remind me to be bold. In this look, I gain courage and heart and I lose inhibition. What a bargain. The Joy of J.
