Fashion Meets Street Art: How to Design an Artful Look

When you think about it, a piece of clothing begins as a drawing in a sketch book.

Possibly that drawing was influenced by the shape and form of a beautiful piece of art or by the colors on a graffiti wall.

Fashion can be art transformed into a coveted pair of Stuart Weitzman suede boots or a St. Laurent bag designed with a textured quilted pattern. 

When you design a look for yourself, try to think about the art you like to look at or the colors that make you happy. What shapes and patterns are fun for you?

What makes you feel beautiful and confident? Don’t go out in an outfit if it doesn’t make you want to stand tall and proud. I love edgy, elegant looks, so I tend to wear jeans with a trendy jacket and a fun bag and belt. 

For spring, I like to wear flowery patterned baby doll dresses with glittery sneakers.

I love bright colors and my favorites are cobalt blue and bright scarlet red. Make an outfit an artful expression of who you are. Take the journey. Unveil yourself through fashion. You are beauty. You are joy.
