One of the principle ideas behind The Joy of J is to inspire women of all ages to act on and promote the passions that define them and to follow their dreams. One of my long-time dreams has been to attend Fashion Week in New York City. When I started The Joy of J, one of the passions that I identified for myself, I started reading a book called, Blogging Your Way to the Front Row, by Yuli Ziv and after three months of blogging I found myself sitting in the front row of New York Fashion Week 2018.

As I saw the photographers and television crews poised on the risers in the back ready for the music to begin and the lights to go down and as the models and gorgeous designs floated by me, I couldn’t help but think about how all of the chapters of my life and the stories that fill those chapters helped lead me to this moment.

My collective experiences  have helped build  strength of character and  fortitude, and have made me hard working and tenacious. And, despite failures and struggles, I continue to maintain a positive spirit and belief in my dreams. I thought about how all of the facets of my life together lead me to this moment of wonder, to the front row of Fashion Week, but also to the front row of life.
